This is my Life choice memoir, which gives a very deep and personal look into my life, and how I make choices. It will also help give a more in depth look on how i use processes in my daily life, and will also hopefully show through to my writing. While this may be a personal writing it was still given to me as an assignment and has a formal set of guidelines.
This assignment is the perfect showcase of my personal processes, and how I work as a writer. It showcases how I had struggled to make the perfect narrative to give an good look into my personal life, and how I apply my processes not only to my writing, and school assignments, but also how I use them in my day to day life, to make choices that are important.
Seeing as the course focuses on our process, we also had some blog posts which helped me develop my life-choice memoir without just sitting down, and writing it. One of them was our first introduction to the life-choice memoir which was "The Powers That be?" We then slowly continued to develop what we would need to do with the blog post "To Tell the Truth?" We really wanted to make sure we were prepared so the next post even had to do with the life-choice memoir in "Should I Stay or Should I go?" We then took a slight break from the memoir before returning to the topic in the blog post "Life-Choice Memoir Process Reflection."
In the end I had more experience with writing narratives than any other kind of papers, this does not mean that I was perfect at writing them though. I struggled with finding the perfect situation that showed how I use my processes in my daily life, but also showed an interesting, and impactful decision I have made in my life. Even though I did multiple drafts I still feel as if I could have done a better job with my paper if I was given enough time to really make sure it was perfect. A few of the things I need to work on would be the character development, and context for some of the conversations within the story. I need to make sure I am better at removing myself from the story to make sure I have given all the information necessary.
